How to Make an Açaí Bowl - Thick & Creamy Consistency with Claire Fountain

One of the most repeated questions we get asked is How to Make an Açaí Bowl with a thick and creamy consistency. We are joined by Claire Fountain as she shows us how to make an Açaí bowl thicker with four easy steps:

Do you ever wonder why your açaí bowls are not as thick as every post you see? I was on a mission to make thick, creamy açaí bowls and have figured it out by trying a few new things. I gifted myself a new blender, along with only using the ingredients I loved most.

Ingredients

The key here is a strong blender, and to take the blender off the base and shake the ingredients back down. Blend on and off until the mixture is super thick - see how it won’t even slide out of the blender?

Toppings

My favorite toppings are:

  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Mango
  • Granola

I have been trying to make a home bowl as yummy as the @sambazon Ready to Eat Bowls this entire year, and it took trying a new blender and new technique to get it right. Not gonna lie, this is the best bowl I’ve made yet.

4 Pro Tips to Make your Açaí Bowl Thicker

Number of Packs to Use:

We typically recommend using 1 Açaí packet for smoothies, 2 packs for smoothie bowls. It helps to have a strong blender to chop all your ingredients up into a smooth consistency.

Open Packs like a Pro:

Cut in half with a sharp knife and break into your blender.

Make a Thicker Bowl:

Start with a little liquid and add a frozen fruit - bananas, blueberries, pineapple, mango - you name it!

Add Texture with Toppings:

Fresh fruit, crunchy granola, and shredded coconut.

Finished the year with a recipe for the best açaí bowls - all it took were these amazing Organic SAMBAZON Açaí Superfruit Packs (açaí berry + guarana is just the right sweetness) and a better blender! Thankful for my new blender gift to myself and all the delicious @sambazon açaí bowls in my future. Check my reels for my pro tips to achieve super thick açaí bowls (hint, it’s a lot of good SAMBAZON açaí, part frozen ingredients, part arm shake, and part great blender).
